We are excited to announce that cheqd is partnering with the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance (ASI), a collaboration between Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, Ocean Protocol, and CUDOS, to adopt cheqd Agentic Trust Solution and help build the trust infrastructure for decentralised AI agents.
The partnership will integrate cheqd’s Agentic Trust solutions, including Trust Registries, decentralised identifiers, and our open-source cheqd SDK, into the broader ASI ecosystem, starting with ASI1 and Agentverse. In parallel, cheqd will also integrate the $FET token into our SDK, enabling seamless utility and interoperability across ecosystems.
Why ASI is Partnering with cheqd
Verifiable trust becomes non-negotiable in the rise of autonomous agents and machine driven decisions. ASI’s vision requires agents to coordinate, transact, and reason across multiple platforms with identity and auditability baked in.
cheqd provides that missing layer. Our stack helps ASI platforms ensure that every agent and service is backed by transparent credentials, verifiable origins, and interoperable trust signals. By integrating cheqd, ASI gains a battle tested identity infrastructure designed for scale, built on W3C standards and flexible enough to support the emerging needs of agent based AI.
As part of the collaboration, cheqd will offer the option of using $FET as a payment option for identity transactions into our SDKs while using $CHEQ under the hood. This will provide more options for developers building their AI Agents.
Establish the Trust Layer for the Agentic Future
In 2024 alone, over $1.1 billion was lost globally to scams involving deepfakes and synthetic identity fraud, with AI impersonation attacks surging by more than 700% year-on-year according to the Sumsub Identity Fraud Report. cheqd solves this by embedding identity and accountability at the protocol level. As founding members of Ayra, a cross industry initiative setting standards for trustworthy decentralised agents, we’re leading efforts to establish trust registries and verifiable credentials as foundational infrastructure for agent ecosystems.
Our work is already seeing traction. From enabling Verifiable AI credentials for identity anchored agents with Sensay to securing decentralised communities and data marketplaces with partners like Dock, adoption of cheqd’s trust layer is growing fast. With ASI integrating our SDK and trust registries across ASI1 and Agentverse, we’re establishing the blueprint for how identity, permissioning, and interoperability should work for agentic platforms.
We believe cheqd’s Agentic Trust stack will become an industry standard in the years ahead and that future is arriving fast. If you’re building AI agents or autonomy driven systems and need verifiable trust at the core, we’re actively looking for partners to shape this future together.
Building Trust into AI Agents
Decentralised AI without decentralised trust is a recipe for chaos. This partnership between cheqd and ASI marks a major milestone in setting a new bar for integrity, accountability, and interoperability. By fusing cheqd’s Trust Infrastructure with ASI’s mission to accelerate Artificial General Intelligence and Superintelligence, we’re laying the foundations for an ecosystem where agents can reason, act, and transact securely, powered by identity and governed by trust.
“As a prominent brand within the AI segment of crypto, ASI’s trust in cheqd’s Agentic Trust is a huge signal of confidence in our expertise and solution as we develop it into an industry standard solution. By embedding decentralised identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials (VCs), and Trust Registries into ASI1 and Agentverse, we’re enabling agent-based systems to perform cryptographic authentication, establish trust relationships, and enforce permissioning logic natively. This creates a verifiable trust layer that scales with the complexity of autonomous interactions.” commented Fraser Edwards, Co-founder & CEO at cheqd.
“Maintenance and validation of identity is one of these problems that seems like it should be simple and straightforward, but actually in a decentralized context can become quite subtle. And yet it is utterly foundational to the effective functioning of decentralized networks — without a strong approach to handling identity, one encounters deep difficulties with reputation, accountability, security and other key issues. The integration of cheqd into the ASI Alliance network will significantly boost our capability to provide robust, secure, decentralized, AI-friendly identity management across the ASI ecosystem.” said Ben Goertzel, CEO at Superintelligence Alliance & CEO and Chief Scientist at SingularityNET.
About the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance
The ASI Alliance is a collaboration between Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, Ocean Protocol, and Cudos. They’re working to converge their technologies into a shared ecosystem powered by a unified AI token, $ASI (currently trading under $FET).
Their mission is to decentralise the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and ultimately Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). This ensures that the most powerful technologies in the world remain transparent, accessible, and ethically governed.
The $ASI token powers the decentralised AI economy, supporting access to services, on-chain governance, staking, and transactions across multiple blockchains.
About cheqd
cheqd is the trust and payment infrastructure to enable the creation of personalised AI, eID, digital credential businesses, and trust ecosystems. We provide privacy-preserving payments for data to incentivise its release from data silos, enabling previously impossible data combinations and unlocking new user experiences and personalised AI.
We provide bespoke network offerings and support multiple credential formats to underpin identity frameworks such as eIDAS 2.0 in Europe, and beyond. Our industry-leading Trust Registries allow ecosystems to gate and govern themselves, creating permissioned, permeable, or permissionless trusted data ecosystems and trusted verified AI agents.
